Our History at Adams Industries
Adams & Son Trucking, Inc. was established in 1987 by Robert and Donald Adams, but the roots of the company extend back to the early 1960’s. Don became President of the company when Bob retired in 1993 and he continued the expansion of the flatbed division by purchasing Tezak Transportation in 1994.
When Sidney Warehousing was purchased in 2000 the dynamics of the company extended into project based jobs. In 2003 the brokerage division, Adams and Son Transportation LLC, was formed to handle the excess freight volumes. The operation added a trucking and brokerage terminal in Houston, TX in 2008 as well as brokerage offices in Commerce City, CO and Omaha, NE.
In 2009 the company re-branded to reflect the full range and scope of what Adams Industries, Inc. can do for its customers, encompassing the three entities under one moniker.
